Hercules: $3,000 in glasses stolen from optometry office

Published Jan 15

An optometry business in Hercules had about $3,000 in glasses stolen from it by a masked suspect early Thu morning, according to police.

At around 5:09 in the morning Hercules police officers were dispatched to the business at Creekside Shopping Center in the 1500 block of Sycamore Avenue based on an alarm trigged by motion inside the building.

The front door to the business was smashed and a big amount of glasses were stolen.

Based on a witness account, a man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a ski mask was seen running near the business shortly before five in the morning

Police stated this suspect was apparently associated with a newer model Chrysler three hundred driven by a woman.
